Pirates Edge Rockies 5-4 in Series Opener

Clint Barmes tied the score at four after his home run in the eighth inning Tuesday against the Colorado Rockies. Casey McGehee followed that up later in the inning with an RBI single to give the Pirates a 5-4 advantage.

Joel Hanrahan shut the door in the ninth inning without allowing a hit. Kevin Correia went six innings while allowing two runs on four hits.

Carlos Gonzalez led the way for the Rockies with two home runs and four RBI. Andrew McCutchen knocked in three on the night.
